Uncomplicated Inc is a venture studio that partners with domain experts as co-founders. Experienced operators bring the industry knowledge and customer relationships; we bring product, engineering, AI, design, operations and go-to-market — and we build the company together.

Talent is widely distributed. Access to opportunity is not.
That conviction decides what we build and who we build it with. Every product in the portfolio is designed to give people access to infrastructure that used to sit behind a network, a budget, or a specialist — and every venture starts with a founder who has lived the problem firsthand.

For more than 20 years in Memphis, the answer to “who can help me build a software company?” has increasingly been one name. Decades of building, mentoring, and showing up — long before there was ever a deal — became a founder pipeline no amount of capital can buy.
And we still build people
As we build companies, we keep creating access to opportunity for emerging builders — pairing them with senior mentors and AI on real products, starting in Memphis and reaching beyond it.

- We co-found AI-native software companies with domain experts, and we run an Innovation Lab of real products that sharpens the studio’s engineering and AI systems.
- Is Uncomplicated Inc an agency or a dev shop?
- No. We take an ownership stake and a long-term operating role as co-founder. We are not contractors and we do not sell development hours.
- Where is the studio based?
- Memphis, Tennessee. The founder relationships that start our ventures were built here over more than twenty years.
- What stage is the studio at?
- Early. The portfolio is pre-revenue: ventures are in development, alpha and beta, and our public proof is experienced operators choosing to build with us.
Leadership
Who runs the studio
Brian Swanson — Founder
Brian founded Uncomplicated Inc and leads the studio from Memphis. His background is product development and software engineering, and he sets the studio’s direction and founder partnerships. He works full time on Uncomplicated Inc.
We say “we” on purpose. Ventures are built with founder partners, contributors and advisors, and each venture’s own team is introduced by that company when it is ready.
